Yeap, its that time again…  Bob, Dawn & I will be off to school on Sunday, March 20th through the 25th.

Bob and I will be studying under:

Ken Sklute   “Weddings- It’s All in the Light.”

Class overview… “It’s all in the Light!” is a program that covers lighting techniques in detail. I work with and show window light, single flash, multiple flashes, working with various light modifiers, working with tungsten light and of course the mixed bag of existing illumination to capture wedding images. Light is the common denominator and this motivating look into the diverse areas of photography will provide all who attend a new outlook and excitement to get out there and have fun making images with their new found vision! During this hand’s on, weeklong course will examine working with high ISO’s, time lapse and capturing video to make your weddings take on a very contemporary approach to help you create different vision to attract new, high end clients and place yourself far above your competition!

Dawn will be studying under Doug Box and Randy Kerr.

Class overview – “Environmental, On Location, In-Home Portraits, using Off-Camera Flash, Reflectors and Continuous Light”

Learn easy techniques for using Continuous Lights to create beautiful portraits. See how Continuous Light sources are the perfect answer for fusion sessions combining video and still photography.

We will discuss how Off-Camera Flash techniques can help you create dramatic portraits in nature and how you can combine flash and sunsets for stunning portraits.

You will learn how proper f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO allow you to control Depth of Field to give you creative power over your images as well as see professional techniques for using translucent scrims and reflectors to supplement available light for better portraits.

You will be given strategies to capture your images correctly in the camera to save you a lot of time in post-production. You will also take home the top ten business tips for this uncertain time in our industry.
