A Year in the Making : Seniors

I sit here and am totally amazed that we are in the year 2010… and that we’re in Nashville.  As I look back and think about 2009; what a whirl wind of a year we had and am totally amazed how fast it went, another year…  REALLY. It’s almost as if we blinked and time has sped by and here we are reflecting on where we’ve been and where we hope to be as we move into the new year.  Not only are we taking 4 classes a day, we are attending mini classes during the expo at Imaging USA as we scout the millions ~ yes, millions… maybe more — vendors showing off their latest and greatest.  Don’t you ever wonder sometimes how much information our brains can absorb?

Thought I’d share a sampling of our South Hills Area Seniors that I had the opportunity to photograph.  As I was going through their galleries I couldn’t help smiling as I remember how much fun we had.  I hope you enjoy watching this fabulous bunch of seniors, I wish everyone of them much success in their new adventures after graduation.  ~Francine

Moon Area High School : Powder Puff

I shot a Football game on Wednesday night. It wasn’t the boys game. It was the GIRLS. Moon Area had their annual Powder Puff Football game. There was nothing soft about this game though. These girls were tough but no one was hurt and everyone had a great time! Mallory Snyder & Emily Hvostal organized the event for their Senior Projects. All the proceeds benefitted the Womens Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. The Seniors did take care of business beating the Juniors 16 – 13. In the earlier game, the Sophomores edged the Freshman. Here is a short video of game action.  – Bob

Baldwin Pre-Prom 2009 : Warren & Friends

This past Friday I received a text from a friend that her son was meeting friends for their pre-prom photos, and asked if there was anyway I could stop over to take a few photos … she wanted them added to a video that I’m producing for his graduation party!!

I LOVE prom photos; the gowns are always so amazing.  Here is a little preview of  Warren and his date Bethany prior to heading to the prom.

Do you wish you could wear your prom gown again!! Call me to schedule a photo session and let go have fun – check out our TTD-Prom Dress Style -Francine

Micaela has the most incredible eyes, so when I received a call from her mom about photographing her senior portraits with a focus on her ‘eyes’  I was elated . We still have to do her outdoor session but I wanted to share a few of my fav’s…  ~Francine

Here I was testing out a new background I’ve been wanting to try that is cooper in color, it was perfect with Micaela’s hair … Yeah Baby!!

Senior Session : Justin

Last year I did Justin’s senior yearbook photo, since then I’ve had the opportunity to photograph his family, grandparents and cousins.  A few weeks ago Diane, Justin’s mom called asking to have Justin’s outdoor session done…  those living in Pittsburgh know that the weather has not been cooperating very well and it’s been pretty much a hit or miss with outdoor sessions; with only one rescheduling we finally took our chances and the other day headed out to photograph Justin with his car.  Even though no rain was in the forecast, the clouds rolled in along with the rain, so with the help from Diane, who held my reflector over my head and camera so I wouldn’t get wet we were able to finish our session.  Diane, I hope your hair held up … on another matter … let me tell you ALL, I am so tired of rain…. I NEED sunshine and I need it NOW!!!  –Francine

Diane & Justin, I had an excellent time … you both are amazing  and Justin I wish you the very best in the years to come.

Here are a few samples…
