New Studio!

I’m finally getting the pictures of our new studio in Crescent Township (near Moon) up so all can see what we have to offer now. Our studio was formally our garage ( really it was a over-sized shed that we stored “stuff” in). The construction was done by Frank Bonura &  his crew of  Bonura & John’s Construction. We can do families, groups, High School Seniors & whoever. It’s really great to have the extra room.

Dawn would like to do a fund raiser for the Humane Society. We would ask each pet owner to bring a bag of dog food instead of paying a sitting fee & a 5×7 photo is theirs at no charge. There will be a 15 minute maximum limit on the shoot per owner/pet. Let us know if anyone’s interested. More info is coming!  –Bob

Seniors – West Highlights

Senior Shoot in the ‘Burg

What a day! Mallory & I finally got together for her Senior Portraits. Bob & I decided on going to Pittsburgh. It turned out we went all over the ‘bugh. First on the South Side, then to the Strip District and finally over to the North Side, in front of PNC Park. We finished just before the rains came. Whew!! Special thanks to Mallory for her patience with all the travel.  ~Dawn

Graduation Day : Moon Area High School

Moon Area High School had their graduation ceremony last Friday. Of course it was on the night of the 7th game of the Stanley Cup finals. The commencement ceremony was very nice. Although I dare to say most minds were on the Pens. You’re probably asking why I was actually there and not in front of my television. Our daughter Mikayla was a member of the Class of 2009! Here are a few pictures & video of the festivities.  -Bob

Alex’s Glam Shots

I’ve been wanting to do this type of shoot for a while now.  I needed someone who was willing to give up their afternoon. I also needed someone who could DO makeup. I’m just a little out of practice. Candy, who is Dawn’s cousin is like a master-makeup artist. She has this HUGE make-up case.  Candy’s daughter Alex, who’s way too cute & with JUST a little bit of an attitude, was my model. Candy does makeup for Alex’s dance shows. Candy & Alex were great. They were up for anything. Dawn set up the majority of posing. Also, my daughter, Mikayla, came up with the idea of the lightning bolt on the one eye. Props to her! Moon Area Track : Run – Jump – Fly

Dawn & I went to a track meet at Moon High school to shoot Moon vs Ambridge.   The day couldn’t have been better.  Competition was in the air and the athletes were ready to run, jump and fly!!

Moon Area vs Uniontown (HS Basketball)

Moon Area took on Uniontown this past Saturday in Round 1 of the WPIAL AAA playoffs. Uniontown came into the game with a 15-5 record & a wealth of experience. What a game! The lead went back and forth several times. In the end it was a Double OT…61-60 victory for the Tigers! When the horn finally sounded, there were four Sophmores & one Junior on the floor at the end of the game due to injuries and foul trouble. What an effort by the underclassmen!
